After Bozoner is shot, Lee grabs Dung and runs to cover. He finds Wolf, Zap and Sarge. After they revive Sarge, they find Burns and interrogate him. He reveals Bozoner gave the same command to him that he had given to Lee, but Burns, being the coward he was, actually shot villagers. Sarge determines they have to move, so they set out in a truck, but decide to stop as darkness falls. Wolf tells Dung about the legend of the mighty Cherokee Warrior to help the child feel safe. Later, Lee is awakened to find that he and the others have been taken prisoner again.
